This is the easy part. Drawing the comic. No worries at all. I use a blue pencil. It looks really cool but that's not it's only use. In case you didn't know, it doesn't get picked up by the scanner when you scan in black and white. NEATO. |

When it comes to inking, I like to divide it into three categories.
Thick, medium, and thin. Varying pen line widths makes certain images stand
out, and it just looks better than using all one width, in my opinion.
So, to start out, I do the thick lines. |

...then the medium ones.... |

...and finally the thin ones. At this point I scan the drawing. Even though I have all those blue construction lines under the cleanup, they won't show up when I scan in black and white. So it will look really nice. |

...like this! Yum, lineart. Now it's time to color. |

To start out, I just color in the characters in flat colors. Easy.
Now, shading. For RPG World, I like to use flat shading, meaning I like one form shadow on a character. There will be no variation on the shadow, just one color to show which parts are darker. |

To do this, I create a new layer and draw this on it. it's the shadowing
on Reka.
This shading... it looks a little Jonny Quest doesn't it? Too dark. Good thing we did it on a new layer. |

Just slide the opacity until it looks the way you want it. Beautiful.
There are other ways to do this effect, and you can definitely use different colors for each part. Other methods could look a lot better and I've used some of them in the past, but for now I really like this look. This could all change tomorrow. I mean, I used to like airbrushing RPG World. heh |

Now do that to the whole image.
Yeah. This is why Sunday comics are always late but it's really worth it. |

I like to keep the backgrounds simple, while repeating a lot of colors over and over. I do that because it helps the filesize for the final image and it just looks good to repeat colors in a color scheme. |

I think you can figure this out- make your panels! |
![]() |
Then drop your artwork onto it!
For this particular comic, Reka is on a seperate layer. So I stuck the panel layer[above] between the Reka layer and the "comic" leyer |

Words!!!! this is pretty straightfoward.... ecxept fer me who has bad speling and I have to recheck a lot of it. |

Word baloons are easy peasy. Just use the selection tools, and then fill them in. To make lines around them, use the layer effects in Photoshop. |

FINISH. You have now made an RPG World. You know all my secrets! I am no longer special!!! |
